UPSC Civil Services Interview 2022 : A Talking Transcript My UPSC interview was on 06th May, 2022. I was praying and telling my friends that I don't want to get Chaubey Sir's Board but as life is never fair, I was the first person to get interviewed that day in the morning that too, by Chaubey Sir's board.  It was an amazing experience standing on the soil of UPSC for the first time. I was living the dream of millions and so it happened that I got 182 marks out of 275 - one of the highest this year by this board. Here is me telling the story of what happened in the four walls of my interview room!

History Optional : Medieval India Notes

" From the rise of the Turks to the Decline of the Mughals" History Optional : Paper 1, Part B I was born in front of Jama Masjid amidst the entangled roads of Purani Dilli. Its air is full of culture, people filled with affection and everything full of history. It was almost like I was destined to study and specialize in Medieval Indian History.  24 years down the line when I first breathed, I officially hold a specialization in Medieval Indian History.  The story of my love for Medieval India starts from Urdu and rests at the History Department of University of Delhi.  Presenting here my Medieval India notes for the History Optional. I have covered most of the topics of the UPSC optional syllabus. I wish these notes would find worthy hands in which, they get appreciated and cherished.

Six Letters to Myself

Image
Written between 6th January - 16th January, 2022 Writing letters has always been more than a hobby to me. Ghalib inspired me to write letters to my loved ones and yes, I believe in writing letters in the 21st century. I have written so many letters and received many as well. But during my Civil Services Mains Examinations in January 2022, amidst chilling Delhi winters added with weekend lockdown and heavy rainfall, I decided to promise myself everyday before going to the bed. This promise was very simple - to give my best in the exam and not leave even a single page blank no matter what. And to motivate myself, I recused to letters, the very letters I was writing to motivate others till now. For the first time, I wrote letters to myself. Before every exam day, I used to write a letter to myself to reflect back and move ahead. This is a thread of the 6 letters I wrote to myself : 1.) My writing skills was to be tested in few hours. T minus 1 day! 2.) The day I had th...

History Optional : Ancient India Notes

"From Stone Age to the advent of Turks History Optional : Paper 1, Part A The story of making these notes starts from the first wave of the pandemic. When the UPSC postponed the prelims of 2020 to October, I had 3 extra months in my kitty and I thought - let's study History !! For three months straight, I studied this wonderful subject. A subject that I loved since I first started to know its name.  During my college days, when I used to visit Delhi University and see someone doing graduation in history, I had a subtle mix feeling of envy and excitement. Then I used to think - one day, maybe I'll also get the chance to study this subject. These notes are an all-comprehensive study of Ancient Indian History from more than 6 different authors. They are structured in the form of Part - A of History Optional Paper 1 syllabus of UPSC. According to my experience, they can be used for preparing NET JRF in History as well. I managed to clear JRF with these notes only. I will soon ...

About Me

On the way to LBSNAA and a diplomatic life ahead, I've decided to share my experiences I've had during the UPSC preparation, the days and nights, the people who are registered in my life like a fresh stamped passport and my adventures across globe here. The name of the blog is inspired by Hajrat Amir Khusrau's memoirs 'Aijaz-i-Khusrauvi' literally meaning 'The Miracles of Khusrau'.  Since my childhood, I've been an avid reader and writer however, I solemnly swear that I never thought of writing a blog. This blog will be a new addition to my life albeit it shall contain the pieces I carry from the road of time. I was an engineering student then things changed dramatically and I became an history student while cracking one hefty examination - UPSC CSE in 2022. The journey till now and the road ahead shall certainly bring things to share, appreciate and cherish.  I'll always be honest with my experiences and endure the greatest gift that we humans have ...
